Welcome to FeeYoda. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and FeeYoda Technologies Ltd ("FeeYoda," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the FeeYoda mobile application ("FeeYoda") and related web platform services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using FeeYoda, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the application.
1. ABOUT FEEYODA
FeeYoda is a technology platform designed to facilitate digital shuttle fare payments between campus passengers and independent shuttle operators.
FeeYoda Technologies Ltd is a technology provider and does not operate, own, manage, or maintain shuttle vehicles or transportation services. Transportation services are provided independently by third-party shuttle operators.
FeeYoda is not a bank, microfinance bank, or licensed payment processor. Wallet funding services and statutory virtual account generation are provided in partnership with licensed third-party payment infrastructure providers.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
A. Eligibility
To use FeeYoda, you must be at least 16 years of age (or the legal age of majority applicable in your jurisdiction) and capable of forming a binding legal contract under Nigerian law.
B. Account Creation
When creating an account, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your first name, last name, username, email address, and a secure password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
C. Account Security & Use
You may not share your account credentials with any third party, transfer your account, or allow any other person to access the application using your identity. You are fully responsible for all payments and activities executed through your account.
3. IDENTITY VERIFICATION (KYC)
A. Requirement for KYC
To access wallet functionality, including wallet funding and making payments, you are required to complete identity verification ("Know Your Customer" or "KYC"). You agree to provide accurate details, including:
- First Name and Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Phone Number
- 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN)
B. Purpose & Accuracy
Your NIN and identity information are collected to verify your profile, protect platform integrity, prevent fraud, and satisfy statutory compliance requirements mandated by our payment infrastructure partners for virtual account creation. You warrant that all identity details provided belong to you personally and are truthful. Submitting another person's identity information without authorization is strictly prohibited.
4. WALLET AND FUNDING
A. FeeYoda Wallet
Eligible users are provided with a digital ledger balance ("Wallet") within FeeYoda. The Wallet allows you to store funds pre-loaded by you to execute shuttle fare payments.
B. Wallet Funding
You may fund your Wallet via available deposit channels, including statutory virtual accounts generated by our payment infrastructure provider, Flutterwave.
C. Spending Limits
You may only make shuttle payments up to the available balance in your Wallet. FeeYoda will automatically decline any transaction attempt that exceeds your current Wallet balance. Overdrafts or negative balances are not permitted.
5. DIGITAL PAYMENT RECEIPTS AND VALIDITY
A. Receipt Generation
Upon successful completion of a payment, FeeYoda generates an on-screen digital payment receipt.
B. One-Hour Validity Period
Each generated payment receipt is valid for exactly one (1) hour from the time of issue to serve as proof of payment to the selected shuttle operator. Once the one-hour timer expires, the receipt becomes invalid and cannot be used as proof of payment for boarding.
C. Receipt Integrity
You must present the live, active digital receipt within the application to the operator. You are strictly prohibited from forging, editing, screenshotting for fraudulent re-use, altering, or misrepresenting an expired or invalid receipt.
6. FEES
FeeYoda does not currently charge users any funding fees or transaction processing fees for funding wallets or paying shuttle operators. FeeYoda reserves the right to introduce or adjust service fee structures in the future upon prior notice to users.
7. THIRD-PARTY INFRASTRUCTURE (FLUTTERWAVE)
A. Payment Services
FeeYoda utilizes Flutterwave as its primary payment infrastructure provider to facilitate wallet funding and generate statutory virtual bank accounts.
B. Independent Services
Flutterwave operates as an independent licensed payment processor governed by its own terms of service, privacy policies, and compliance standards. FeeYoda is not responsible for external bank network downtimes, processing delays, or actions taken directly by Flutterwave in accordance with financial regulations.
8. REFUNDS, DISPUTES, AND TECHNICAL ISSUES
A. Technical Errors & Duplicate Debits
If a payment fails due to a system error, is duplicated due to a technical glitch, or fails to generate a valid receipt despite debiting your wallet balance, please contact support at contact@feeyoda.com.
FeeYoda will investigate transaction logs and issue appropriate adjustments or wallet credits where justified.
B. Service Availability
While we endeavor to provide uninterrupted service, FeeYoda does not guarantee that the application will be online 100% of the time. Temporary outages may occur due to routine maintenance, server issues, internet network instability, or third-party provider downtime.
9. ACCOUNT DELETION AND REMAINING FUNDS
A. Account Deletion Process
You may request the deletion of your FeeYoda account at any time.
B. Treatment of Wallet Balances
Before initiating an account deletion, users are strongly advised to spend their remaining wallet funds on valid shuttle payments. If you delete your account while retaining an unspent balance, you must contact our support team at contact@feeyoda.com to process your remaining balance refund upon account closure.
C. Regulatory Retention
Deleting your account terminates your access to FeeYoda. However, FeeYoda retains specific transaction records and identity logs required under Nigerian law for accounting, audit, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance purposes.
10. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND FRAUD
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
- Submitting false, stolen, or unauthorized identity details (including NIN).
- Manipulating or attempting to manipulate the wallet ledger, balance, or receipt timer.
- Using FeeYoda for illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent activities.
- Exploiting software bugs, reverse engineering, or introducing malicious code.
- Presenting altered or expired receipts to operators.
11. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
FeeYoda reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if we suspect fraudulent activity, unauthorized identity usage, security breaches, or a material violation of these Terms.
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All software code, user interface designs, logos, trademarks, and content associated with FeeYoda are the exclusive property of FeeYoda Technologies Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application strictly in accordance with these Terms.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Nigeria:
- FeeYoda Technologies Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the platform.
- FeeYoda is not liable for transportation delays, vehicle conditions, driver conduct, physical accidents, or service quality provided by independent shuttle operators.
- FeeYoda’s total aggregate liability for direct technical claims arising under these Terms shall be limited to the total amount of processing fees retained by FeeYoda for the specific transaction in dispute, or ₦10,000 NGN (whichever is lower).
14. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FeeYoda Technologies Ltd from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees arising from your violation of these Terms, submission of fraudulent information, or misuse of the platform.
15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the issue amicably through good-faith negotiation by contacting contact@feeyoda.com.
16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may modify these Terms periodically. Material updates will be communicated by posting the revised Terms within the application or via email. Your continued use of FeeYoda following notice of updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
